I was speaking to Nancy today about past relationships – mistakes, heartaches and choices – when she asked if I would change anything.

And I said, much to my own surprise, both Yes and No.

The second answer, the No, is the simplest to explain. In fact, it probably seems as if it should be the only answer and require no further explanation… the intelligent assumption is that if my last relationships didn’t end how and when they did… I wouldn’t have moved on to this life, right here, right now. In fact, I told her, if I didn’t go through what I did in the past… I probably wouldn’t know her today and be having this conversation. Read the rest of this entry →
